Welcome to my workshop thread

Decided finally to make thread about mods i been working and share some images.I have been doing 3d modeling as hobby for a while and after i found Spintires i thought that it would be perfect game to create my own content for. Spent some time learning texturing and baking with blender and finally got some stuff to show. I better say that im not in hurry to finish any of my mods i work on them when i got free time and im in mood. In the past i did work on Tetrarch tank mod and some other projects that were never released for various reasons.

Any feedback,suggestions or questions about my mods are welcome
This is not thread to ask for modding help

Project i been working on recenty is soviet light caterpillar tractor DT-75 its not compleate yet i could say im about half way done with it.Chassis is nearly finished and baked but top half still needs alot of work temporarily i did use the unfinished high poly mesh with quicly baked textures for body.The tracks and wheels at the moment dont brake or move its just for show there are invisible wheels to make it turn like caterpillar.I hope that by the time i finish this project Spintires will get support for tracked vehicles

Textures are done by creating materials in blender node editor and applying them to high poly mesh then baking them to low poly model with about 10x polygon difference

Thank you for all the feedback. I should point out that at the moment i dont have any animated parts on this vehicle i just skipped all the skidsteer stuff for now and focused on modeling and textures.Later on i might give it a go but this is probably one of the most challenging vehicles to make skidsteer. Drive wheels are very small on their own and they just ride under the mud instead on top also trying to brake them with pushing cdt against them means cdt would have to be very close to ground. As for now i just use 16 invisible wheels with calculated steering angle on etch axle to simulate skidding. The visible wheels you see are actually made so small they dont interfere with steering but are still powered. Tetrarch tank before spintires update had true skid steer but i did not manage to make it work as effectively after update.

Update on progress with high poly mesh i have been adding more detail finishing few things its not complete yet but its getting there. When i finish with high poly i move to low and then uv map both meshes eventually i create materials and bake textures to create something that is game ready.

Update on progress with Dt-75 mod i have my first set of textures baked and its worth taking few pictures of progress . I plan adding some more rust and scratches where necessary and tweak colors. There is still more work to do than textures but i wont go into detail .
